DatabaseXtender Analyzer
Monitoring, Forecasting, and Modeling Data Growth
EMC DatabaseXtender Analyzer provides real-time performance monitoring that helps you set data retention policies for your business. Your policies can identify and target the tables, records, and modules with the fastest application data growth. With its secure, Web-based interface, you can monitor and manage that data growth from a single, easy-to-understand, graphical workbench. You can then proactively establish retention policies and resolve underlying causes before data growth slows performance.
DatabaseXtender Archiver
Creation and Enforcement of Data Retention Policies EMC DatabaseXtender Archiver helps companies set and enforce data retention policies and archive inactive data in an accessible format. This means that transactions and records are tamper-proof and have the ability to survive system changes including the retirement of the actual application.

DatabaseXtender Optimizer
Streamlined Database Environment
EMC DatabaseXtender Optimizer enables data growth while maintaining transparent access to the data through native applications. Using the information collected by EMC DatabaseXtender Analyzer, you can configure Optimizer to relocate "inactive" information into a secondary historical database. Optimizer ensures that inactive data is successfully relocated based on data retention policies.
This paper summarizes the results of two performance evaluations where EMC DatabaseXtender was used in Oracle application environments to address overburdened production databases.
DatabaseXtender Subsetter
Policy-Based Data Maintenance
EMC DatabaseXtender Subsetter is policy-based so you define the rules that determine which set of data is maintained and by what criteria. The data subset you ultimately select will be relationally intact and maintain all of the original data relationships for accuracy in testing and development. You also have the option to save and recycle policies and definitions to more easily reproduce or modify any new or existing instance.

Database Application Replication and Subsetting
Creating replications of your production database becomes more complicated as data volumes grow. In addition, different replication methods must be used for different tasks, such as backup and recovery or testing and development. In this white paper, EMC Engineering provides an overview of techniques for full replication and for subsetting with EMCýs DatabaseXtender Subsetter technology.
